“Government employees and retirees may apply for enrollment for themselves and their dependents, or change their benefit and enrollment options in the health insurance program during the month of December. New enrollments or changes in current enrollment selected during ‘open season’ shall become effective Jan. 1, 2009,” said Mark Aguon, Fund administrator, in a memorandum.
He said active employees and retirees who are already enrolled and who do not wish to change their benefit plan are not required to take any action.
A representative from Aetna will be available on Dec. 10 at the multi-purpose center from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to answer their queries.
Aetna is the third-party administrator of the government’s health insurance program. (GQC)
