Outstanding DOLI employees recognized

TEAM work, positive attitude and commitment to one’s job make a group successful. Accordingly, the credit should be given not only to a few, but to everyone. With this in mind, a division at the Department of Labor and Immigration awarded on Friday all its nine employees for their outstanding work.

“They all deserve commendation for all their valuable contribution. This is about team work and cooperation,” Alfred Pangelinan, director of the Division of Employment Services, said.

Pangelinan, together with officials from other divisions, led the awarding ceremony on Friday morning.

The awardees were Michael L. Diaz, most superior and division employee of the year; Devey Ann Cepeda, most evaluating; Rosalina Fejeran, most expressive; Elizabeth Lizama, most spontaneous; Javier Olopai, most capable; Alice I. Concepcion, most innovative; Manases Iguel, most negotiating; Bonifacio Jones Castro, most persistent; Danita Sanchez-Nedlic, most deadline oriented; and Yvonne S. Taisacan, most contributing.

Pangelinan said his team has exemplified that “positive attitude plus work equals success.” The unit has performed well despite its lack of two key personnel, he added.

Pangelinan himself received a surprise plaque of appreciation for outstanding leadership from his employees.
