OVER 100 children, men and women received free haircuts on Sunday at the Joeten & Daidai Social Hall of Mount Carmel Cathedral.

Organized by the Saipan Unity Lions Club, the activity, which started at 8:30 a.m. and ended at 11, aimed “to promote self-care and community well-being,” according to SULC.

The hair stylists who volunteered their time and effort included Mommyla Spa & Salon’s Sharmaine P. Casquero, Genoveva Hair Power’s Jay Chavez Calma, Perfect Image Beauty Salon’s Jesse Y. Garcia and Leonardo Tubig, I-Fashion Salon’s Arnold Orquita Asinero, Creative Salon and Body Care’s Remyl Jhan Raymundo, and Arlene M. Aliorde of Rota.

The event also included a Zumba session led by Zin Abby Whang.

SULC President Bongbong Martinez, Past District Governor Atoy Banting and Second Vice Governor-Elect Eden Mercado expressed appreciation to the hair stylists for their support.

Casquero, who coordinated the participation of her fellow hair stylists, said it has been their long-standing commitment to support community groups like SULC in its desire to help the community.

Casquero also expressed gratitude to her fellow hair stylists for their never-ending support. She likewise thanked SULC for giving them the opportunity to serve the community in their own little way.
