Over 40 contestants to join Hard Rock Café’s Runway Fashion Show tonight

The show, which is done in collaboration with Teen Talk, starts from 8:30 and ends at 10 p.m.

Hard Rock Café Saipan operations manager Rey Perez said they are happy with the big turnout of participants who signed up for the fashion show.

Fashion coordinator James Sison said  the contestants have been practicing for the past weeks and “are very excited to strut on the ramp in their funky rock and roll style.”

The contestants are classified into three categories — kids 6 years old and below, 7-11years old and 18 years old and below.

The Rock the Junk Fashion Show has been initiated to promote and create awareness for an eco-friendly environment and to give the children more fun activities to do.

Participants were required to purchase a Hard Rock Café t-shirt and were given freedom to create their own styles as long as the Hard Rock logo is visible.

Prizes are also at stake for local photographers who have joined the international coastal cleanup activity and who will be taking photos of the event tonight.

Sponsors for the event are Canon Photoshop, Konflict, Rainbow Colors, IT&E, Joeten Susupe, iFashion Salon, Serenity Salon and Spa, Sunset Cruise, Shawarma Boy and National Car Rental & Alamo.

Admission is free. For more information, call the Hard Rock Café at 233-7625, or e-mail [email protected].
