(MVA) — The Marianas Visitors Authority signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding on March 26, 2026, with Good Choice, one of South Korea’s leading travel and leisure platforms, to launch joint marketing initiatives aimed at increasing arrivals to the Marianas.
The visits are part of an annual Marianas-wide initiative led by MTEC and MVA that engages 5th-, 7th-, and 10th-grade students through interactive presentations highlighting tourism as the Marianas’ leading economic driver.
The workshops provide practical learning opportunities for nonprofit leaders, staff, and community members, with both virtual and in-person options available.
THE Commonwealth Utilities Corp. is asking the Commonwealth Public Utilities Commission to lift the cap on its Fuel Adjustment Charge and allow the rate to rise to 44 cents per kilowatt-hour. CUC officials said global fuel prices have doubled, leaving the utility unable to absorb the increase.
