In an interview yesterday, Palacios said he owes the Covenant Party his first term in the House.
When he first ran for representative, Palacios said it was the precinct club members and officers of the Covenant Party who took him in.
“So it is not right for me to just abandon them and go to another party. They are still around so I will still stick with them,” Palacios said.
One of the tasks that he thinks is very important for him to continue in the House is help his party mates push for the austerity measure.
“It is important to support that,” he said.
Back in Precinct 2, Palacios said he and Babauta continue to do a lot for their constituents.
He said he still has may plans to improve the villages in Precinct 2, which include Chalan Kanoa and Susupe.
Currently, he said he and his supporters particularly the youth are upgrading sports and other facilities in their villages.
They are also cleaning the road ways on a daily basis, providing villages with more basketball courts and helping find sponsors for sports teams.
“I believe that after my first term, I can still do a lot for my constituents. I’m trying for another term and hopefully extend my service to the community. And I would like the public to know that any bill regardless of who introduce it, as long as it benefits the community, I will support it,” he said.
