Pentecostal church provides free health screening in Gualo Rai

About 76 individuals signed up for the various services offered by the church, its pastor Claire Javillonar said.

She noted that there were few community members who participated compared to last month’s free screening in Tanapag.

On Sunday, another medical outreach was conducted in Gualo Rai, this time by the Seventh-day Adventist Clinic and Church.

Javillonar said they extended their free health screening on Saturday for almost an hour because many were on the waiting list for the body massage service.

The health screening started from 4 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m.

The services offered included free blood pressure and blood sugar examination, eye check-up, body massage, reflexology, haircut, facial massage, height and weight measurement and counseling.

Javillonar said the program was supported by the Marianas Eye Institute, the Northern Marianas College Nursing Club headed by Hervin Jacinto and church members.

The Maranatha Christian Store provided health packages to the participants.

Madhav Pandey received $150 worth of gift certificate from the Marianas Eye Institute.

Ronnie Doca, the Pentecostal Missionary Church  spokesman, said the gift certificate was given to the person who really needed it.

Next month, the church is planning to conduct its free health clinic in Kagman.
