Pentecostal church to hold annual medical outreach

Church pastor Claire Javillonar said the event was so successful they decided to conduct the medical outreach every year.

“This is our way of showing love to our church members. Aside from their spiritual needs, we also attend to their physical needs,” she said.

Every February, she said the medical mission will be extended only to church member but in October, community members are encouraged to join.

This October, when the church celebrates its 11th anniversary, it will conduct another medical outreach to the community members.

Last Sunday, services offered included reflexology and massage, blood sugar test, blood pressure examination and haircut.

Javillonar thanked the volunteers for the free services they offered to the church: nursing students Arcie Solomon, Jolainie Tenorio, Mary Liza Chata, Jiyang Cha, Ronalyn  Ivy Atienza, and Kuan Sohn of Northern Marianas College; Francis Javillanor and Rhea Cauzon for the free haircut; Sonora Cruz and Edith Locsin for the free massage; and Bambi Muleta of the Marianas Eyes Institute for the free eye screening.
