People & Events: Friends of the Arts auditions for ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’

The cast includes parts for 14 adults — 11 men and 3 women. The show is scheduled to be performed on Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24 and 25.

The play is a comedy that involves a theater-hating drama critic who finds himself having to deal with his crazy, homicidal family — two spinster aunts who have taken to poisoning lonely old men, an uncle that believes he is Teddy Roosevelt, and a murderous brother — and the local police.

Auditions will be held this Thursday and Friday, Aug. 13 and 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Napu Room at PIC.
