Philippine consulate plans to offer more training to Filipino workers

He said they will use the materials of the Philippine government’s Technology Resource Center which offers extensive information regarding agri-business, aqua-business, livestock and poultry, crafts and hobbies, food business, including chemical technology like soap and perfume making.

Last February, the Philippine Consulate General, opened its skills and livelihood training sessions for the first quarter of this year.

In coordination with the Philippine Overseas Labor Office and the Overseas Workers Welfare Office, the consulate general offered five courses to Filipino workers.

A total of 160 enrolled — 42 for  basic computer operation; 42, basic Nihongo; 36, home décor and sewing; 23, basic English; and 17  intermediate English.
