Photographers urged to join MINA beach cleanup tomorrow

Event coordinator James Sison said photographers must shoot some photos from the cleanup and during the actual fashion show to enter the contest.

The beach cleanup, which is in cooperation with the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance, Teen Talk and Hard Rock Café,  starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 9 a.m.  Sison said a special breakfast will be available at the Hard Rock Café after the beach cleanup.

Attractive prizes are in store for the winning entries.

Sison said eight photographers have already confirmed that they will join the contest, but others who want to join are still welcome.

Likewise, applications are still being accepted for the Runway Fashion Shoot.

Sison said 25 participants have already confirmed to join any of the three categories — kids 6 year old and below, 7-11years old and 18 years old and below.

As prerequisite to join the Runway Fashion Show, parents or the contestants must purchase a Hard Rock t-shirt which they can style in any way but with the Hard Rock logo still visible.

The Runway Fashion Show is designed to promote an eco-friendly environment and raise teen/kids awareness. It also aims to give kids a chance to show  their creativity.

Major event sponsors are iFASHION Salon, Shawarma, Joeten Sususpe, IT&E, Konflict Ali, Hafa Adai Beach Hotel, Rainbow, National Car Rental & Alamo, Serenity Day Spa and Canon.
