Police appeal for patience; lawyer’s house burglarized

In a separate incident, attorney Bruce Berline’s house was burglarized on Christmas Day.

“Nobody was hurt. Nobody was at home,” he told the Variety.

He declined to elaborate, saying the matter is still under investigation.

“We can’t just file a case with incomplete details. We request people’s patience,” said a police officer, referring to the San Jose vandalism case.

The police officer, who declined to be identified, assured the public that the Department of Public Safety is “seriously investigating” the incident as well as the many cases of burglary, theft, and robbery on island.

“Something big will come,” he added.

He urged the San Jose car owners to prepare and submit their complete damage reports, so they can file a case with the Attorney General’s Office.

“Our suspect is just on island. He won’t leave. He has family,” the police officer said, referring to suspect George Moses.

Moses was arrested sometime in 2006, together with two other minors, for theft in San Jose.

Court records showed that Moses pleaded guilty to criminal mischief, and was sentenced to six days imprisonment, all suspended with credit for the  six days he had already served.

He was ordered by the court to pay $720 in restitution to his victim for destroying a payphone.
