Police issue homicide bulletin no. 8

THE Department of Public Safety’s special homicide unit yesterday sought assistance from the public to solve the murder of a couple in Kagman seven years ago.

The investigators released yesterday more details regarding the killing of Zhao Ming Hou and his wife Yu Hua Huang, owners of Ming-Hua Market in Dandan.

“Anyone wishing to contribute information about this homicide can contact the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 664-9042 to 47 or the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272. You need not reveal your identity,” according to DPS spokesman Pete C. Muna.

Det. Juan M. Santos, in homicide bulletin no. 8, said that on March 29, 1995, at 10 p.m., police received a telephone call regarding a dead person in a Kagman III homestead lot leading down to Tank Beach.

Santos said Hou’s body was found at the entrance gate of one of the homestead lots. His body sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

The following day, police officers found the body of Huang in an abandoned car in Kagman.

Autopsy showed that Hou died from a gunshot wound to the head while Huang died due to strangulation.

Investigators also discovered that Ming-Hua Market was burglarized.

The reasons behind the murder were unknown. Some investigators strongly believe that the burglary at the store was connected to the murder.
