POLICE are conducting an investigation into a reported forgery case at a bank involving a $10,000 check.
An officer of Bank of Hawaii in Puerto Rico called the Department of Public Safety to report the forgery last Friday, police said yesterday.
Jung Dae Yoon of Saipan Rainbow, Inc. said he was surprised when he saw a check from the company dated Feb. 19, 2002.
The signature on the check was for his name although he was not the one who signed it, Yoon said.
The check was payable to Yoon Sook Kim, the wife of former Saipan Rainbow Vice President Kyung Deuk Kim.
Jung Dae Yoon said Kyung Deuk Kim was no longer officer of Saipan Rainbow since he resigned from the company last September.
