Teddy Guiao said he has repeatedly called the attention of many government agencies to the leaking pipes, overgrown bushes and theft cases in their area.
Thieves continue to “harvest” banana and other fruits from his yard, he said.
About 20 of his fighting cocks and chickens, including those owned by a neighbor, were also stolen, he added
He believes that the overgrown bushes in the area help conceal the thieves.
“Our place almost looks like a jungle,” he said, adding that the street lights that burned out eight years ago have yet to be replaced.
He said the windows of another neighbor’s car were smashed and its tires were stolen.
Another neighbor lost his bushcutter and bicycle, he added.
There is residential house that is now empty after its previous occupants complained about the water leaks and the unsafe surroundings and received no response from the authorities, he said.
Each side of the road is covered with vegetation so thick that even the street sign is no longer visible, he added.
