Up for public discussion are House Bill 16-147: Juvenile Interrogation; House Bill 16-178: Juvenile Justice Act of 2008; House Bill 16-157: The Incompetency Determination Act of 2008, and; House Bill 16-158: The Guardianship Act of 2008.
The public is invited to attend the hearing for these bills on Monday at 9 a.m. in the chamber of the House of Representatives.
Acting Attorney General Gregory Baka, Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert Naraja, Supreme Court Chief Justice Miguel S. Demapan, Public Defender Adam Hardwicke, Maya B. Kara of the CNMI Bar Association are among those called to offer their thoughts about the bills.
