Joeten-Kiyu Public Library executive director John O. Gonzales said the meeting will address several issues including reporting of various funding sources and federal grant programs; reports on library operations, activities, programs, and circulation; reports from the Library Council’s program, finance and policy committees; and the fiscal year 2012 Joeten-Kiyu Public Library budget request to restore normal library operating hours to better serve the community.
Gonzales said they are seeking public support to restore library hours to 40 hours a week from the current 32, and to adjust the library hours so it can open late and close late to accommodate those who can’t get out of work before 5 p.m.
