In response to the civil action filed by Rebuenog, the clerk of court told the election commission last Friday to answer the complaint within five days.
In her complaint, Rebuenog said “approximately” 21 individuals who had previously registered and voted in Precinct 3 were permitted to vote in election Precinct 4d for the Northern Islands’ mayoral race.
Precinct 3 voters, she said, are not eligible to vote for the Northern Islands’ mayor.
These 21 individuals, the complaint said, are also not residents of the Northern Islands, thus, ineligible to vote in Precinct 4d.
Rebuenog believes that these 21 individuals voted for Aldan giving him a total of 69 votes.
She said without these 21 votes, she would have easily prevailed over Aldan.
