Recycled crafts, Easter gifts for moms at American Memorial Park

U.S. Park Ranger Nancy Kelchner yesterday said Park staffers will be teaching how to make jewelry, flowers and other gift items made from recycled materials that children can give to their mothers on Easter.

The activities will start from 11 a.m. and end at 3 p.m.

“This is the chance for children to allow their creativity to come out and fashion gifts from recycled materials for their moms at the same time,” Kelchner said.

On Friday, starting at 6:30 p.m., visiting archaeologist Dr. Jennifer McKinnon will conduct a free forum at the park on the CNMI’s underwater heritage trail. The public is invited.
