More than 3,000 people attended the March 28 activities on Saipan, Rota and Tinian.
“We are so thankful for the community support,” said Larry Lee, NMI-chapter board chairman.
“We worked hard to create an exciting, memorable event that was only possible through the generous support of our walkers, schools, donors, and all the volunteers that donated their time,” said Lee.
This year there were many prize categories and winners received prize packages that included gift certificates generously donated by the business community.
• The school with the largest number of walkers: Garapan Elementary with 130
• School with the largest number of donations: San Antonio Elementary — $3,843.26
• 1st to 4th largest student donations: Deveney Dela Cruz, Nathania Tan, Jason Briones, and Franchesca Tomokane
Each student won an Acer Laptop computer.
• 5th to 7th largest student donations: Jessica Soll, Kennedy Izuka and Joseph Rosario Jr.
• Individual non-students with the largest number of donations: Elias Seman, $431.75; Ian Hutchinson, $200; and Arissa Homchume, $200
• Largest corporate group of walkers: Fiesta Resort & Spa
• Largest non-profit group of walkers: Tsunami Swim Club
• Best aid station: Western Union
• School coordinator for most walkers: Melisa Mendez and Lizelle Amirez
• School coordinator for most donations: Rita Ann T. Carreon
