Superior Court Judge David A. Wiseman rescheduled Camacho’s bench trial for July 27 for a similar domestic violence case, involving the same victim.
Wiseman wanted to sentence Camacho once all his pending domestic violence cases were already resolved.
Yesterday, Camacho was due for sentencing in a similar domestic violence case.
Last May, jurors exonerated Camacho from three counts of child abuse, but Wiseman convicted him of assault and battery of his wife.
Wiseman also placed on advisement the three counts of disturbing the peace against the defendant.
Camacho is also facing separate charges of disturbing the peace, obstructing justice, and two counts of violation of a court order, after he made contact with his wife following her testimony in court last May.
Assistant Attorney General Brian D. Gallagher, who is resigning, asked the court for more time since he will be endorsing the case to a new prosecutor.
Attorney Joaquin Torres is representing Camacho who is on pretrial release.
In his previous arrest, police said Camacho threatened to kill his wife and children once he got out of jail.
