Tournament director Glenn Policare told the Variety yesterday that the tournament will be held at the PIC volleyball courts starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Registration will start at 4 p.m. and the entry fee is $5 per participant, inclusive of one free drink donated by the Pacific Trading Corp.
He said players will be randomly paired and will play a two out of three match against their opponent. After the first round of play, the winners will be repaired and this will continue until there are only three players remaining.
Policare said 50 percent of the funds collected from the event will be donated to the Japan Tsunami Relief Effort, and the remaining half will be given to the top three finishers.
“We are inviting as many people as we can get to join, and the event is open to all ages,” Policare said.
