He said Cape Air, which provides flights two times every week, helps meet Rota’s air transportation needs.
The regular 30-seat plane of Freedom Air is undergoing regular maintenance. Freedom Air station manager Dennis Cruz said they are currently using the seven-seat Navajo aircraft.
But Mendiola is hoping that the regular flight service of Freedom Air will return normal as soon as possible.
Senate President Paul A. Manglona, Ind.-Rota, earlier noted the cancellation of flights from transit passengers from Japan and Korean who wished to visit Rota due to the reduction of Freedom Air passenger seats.
