Judge Perry Inos, a Rotarian, administered the oath of office to past president Pete Igitol as president, Pete Schilling as vice president, Laila Boyer as secretary and Yosh Gubaldon as treasurer.
Inducted as the new committee directors were Richard Cody for community service, Jay Santos for club service, Kelly Butcher for vocational service, Glen Perez for international service, Jeff Boyer for new generation service, Kim Forrester for foundation service, and Wayne Gillespie as sergeant at arms.
The new set of officers will perform their new duties from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
Outgoing president Glen V. Perez said the club has experienced sorrow in the passing away of one of its members, Mike Brazel, rough economic times resulting in Rotarians resigning or relocating, and natural disasters in other parts of the world.
“Despite these challenges, Rotary Club of Saipan has prospered in many ways,” Perez said.
He commended the Rotarians for the completion of various projects including the production of 2,500 CD’s for the Christmas CD Project, resulting in a net income of $9,817; Las Vegas Night which raised over $37,000 through ticket sales and income; and other projects.
Perez said the club has 10 new members while maintaining an average of 67.27 percent attendance record, the highest in District 2750.
