HONIARA (Pacnews) — A rural Internet program in the Solomon Islands is among a group of 101 projects from around the world to enter the prestigious Stockholm Challenge International Communication Technology competition.
The PeopleFirst E-mail Network will be competing with 18 other information technology projects under the category of e-Governance.
The Stockholm Challenge is a unique awards program for pioneering IT projects worldwide aimed at establishing networks among entrepreneurs. It also endeavors to bridge the gap between cultures and economies.
The week-long event in Stockholm, Sweden in October will also give invited international participants a chance to network, share ideas and showcase their work.
