The delegation’s pro tem chairman, Republican Rep. Ramon A. Tebuteb, set the session for 10 a.m. in the House chamber.
The members are also expected to name the new chairs of each committee and adopt their rules.
The delegation has the power to call for oversight hearings on important issues affecting the government and the public as well as pass bills and adopt resolutions affecting Saipan and the Northern islands.
Yesterday, the Rota legislative delegation named Independent Sen. Juan Ayuyu as its new chairman.
Senate President Paul A. Manglona, Sen. Jovita M. Taimanao and Rep. Teresita A. Santos are the other members of the delegation. All are independents.
The Saipan delegation has 21 members — 18 from the House and three from the Senate.
Ten are Republicans, seven are with the Covenant Party, one is a Democrat and three are independents.
