In yesterday’s meeting, Rotary Club treasurer Vicky Concepcion said they received letters of recognition and appreciation from DVDs4VETS for their donation.
In a letter dated Dec. 18, 2010, DVDs4Vets executive director Laurance Baschkin thanked the Saipan Rotary Club members for the DVDs they donated last year.
“Your gift will be appreciated by those veterans who will have hours of entertainment as a result,” Baschkin said, adding that the DVDs will be distributed to several veterans affairs facilities.
The Rotary Club also received two other letters of appreciation for its DVD donations. In his letter dated Dec. 21, 2010, Kevin J. Riley, a voluntary service assistant, extended his thanks on behalf of the St. Louis VAMC JC Division patients and staff.
Robert E. Davis, another voluntary service officer, thanked the Saipan Rotarians on behalf of the VA Gulf Coast Veterans HCS patients and staff.
