The celebration was also highlighted by the coronation of the 2010 Little Mr. and Miss San Antonio.
“The turnout was very good. It surpassed the crowd that attended last year’s celebration,” said Martin Dela Cruz, fiesta committee chairman.
This year’s pageant winners were Gil Agulto Jr. and Rita Marie Sablan.
The Royal Prince and Princess were Gavin Pangelinan and Jennalyn Travilla.
The first Prince and Princess were Lawrence Worswick and Coleen Jo Taitano while the second Prince and Princess were JohnKae Raquepo and Franchezca Gutierrez.
San Antonio parish priest Jojo Santos thanked all the parishioners for supporting church activities.
He also thanked the parents of the children who participated in this year’s search for Little Mr. and Ms San Antonio.
“The event was very successful especially the fundraising campaign,” he said.
The funds raised will be used to repaint the church’s interior as part of the village’s maintenance efforts.
This year’s food committee was headed by Frances Ramon. The logistic committee was led by Rep. Tony Sablan and Sen. Ralph Torres; the entertainment committee, Fr. Jojo Santos and Joel Vallega; the liturgical committee, Maria Aldan, Sister Vilana and Fr. Santos; and the solicitation committee, Fr. Santos and Dela Cruz.
Vallega was the overall event coordinator.
Dela Cruz said the Pastoral Parish Council headed by Herbert Del Rosario was very active in supporting the event.
Dela Cruz said they are looking forward to present more entertainment numbers in next year’s celebration and to gather more participants.
The generosity of the families in San Antonio village made the celebration this year satisfying, he said.
Free food and drinks were served during the fiesta.
Some families and businesspersons from other villages donated food to San Antonio.
