Santos pre-files resolution to recognize Rota PTA official

Since 2004, she has held various positions in the Parent Teacher Student Association.

A certified Motherread/Fatherread program, Taimanao has decided to leave Rota to pursue other endeavors.

However, her numerous contributions continue to benefit the community members of the island, said Rep. Teresita A. Santos, Ind.-Rota.

“Taimanao takes great pride in her responsibilities and accomplishments and undertakes any additional duties without complaint and with a positive attitude, exemplifying her dedication and commitment to the education of the CNMI’s youth, particularly on the island of Rota,” she said in a resolution she pre-filed to recognize and extend the community’s sincere appreciation to Taimanao.

According to the resolution,  Taimanao understands the necessity of a good education of the children and the importance of parental involvement.

“She continues to volunteer her time and effort to ensure that the CNMI’s education system continues to progress towards academic excellence,” she said.

Taimanao held various positions including Sinapalo Elementary School PTSA secretary in 2004, Sinapalo Elementary School PTSA treasurer in 2005, Sinapalo Elementary School PTSA vice President in 2006, Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior High School PTSA secretary in 2008, Rota High School PTSA vice president in 2009 and Rota High School PTSA board member in 2009.

She was also elected State PTSA vice president of the Advisory Council Panel from 2009 to the present.

Taimano was Dr. Rita Hocog Inos Junior High School PTSA vice president in 2010 and PTSA board member in 2010.
