Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo sentenced Santos to six months’ imprisonment, all suspended, and credited two days she already served at the Department of Corrections facility.
Santos was placed on six months’ probation, and will not have any contact with her victim during this period.
Santos will pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a probation fee. She will complete 25 hours of community work service.
The Attorney General’s Office charged Santos with assault and battery in the second amended complaint filed in court.
The AGO originally charged Santos, and Rodney T. Deleon Guerrero, 33, her boyfriend, with assault with a dangerous weapon, and disturbing the peace.
Santos was also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and theft, while another count of assault was filed against Deleon Guerrero whose has yet to be adjudicated.
The prosecution said the victim suffered injuries after she was dragged on the road with the defendants’ vehicle after she was assaulted by the defendants at her house in Dandan.
