(Commonwealth Utilities Corporation) — There will be a scheduled water service interruption on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Areas affected: Capital Hill (See map with pink outline)
Purpose: To allow CUC’s contractor, USA Fanter, to perform work connecting three new flow meter and valve stations at the Capital Hill Water Tank to the existing water distribution and transmission lines between the Agag Booster Pump and the Capital Hill Tank.
Customers in the area will experience low to no water pressure between the specified hours. Allow one to two hours for the water lines to pressurize fully.
The Agag Booster Pumps and Electrical System Upgrade Project is funded by the Environmental Protection Agency. The project aims to rehabilitate and upgrade the existing booster pumps and electrical systems by installing a pitless booster pump system with variable frequency drives, upgrading the electrical controls, and installing flow meters and control valves.
CUC appreciates the public’s cooperation and understanding as it works to ensure reliable service for its customers.
