Introduced by Floor Leader Pete P. Reyes, R-Saipan, Senate Resolution 17-51 expresses full support for GTA’s ongoing efforts to invest in the CNMI.
The House of Representatives earlier adopted a similar resolution, H.R. 17-48, introduced by Rep. Stanley T. Torres, Ind.-Saipan.
Top officials of GTA visited the CNMI two months ago to express their interest in doing business here.
S.R. 17-51 states that it is the CNMI government’s policy to encourage an open market and competition between telecommunication carriers which may cut the cost of cable TV subscription.
