“It is time to speak out and prevent sexual violence,” coalition member Kiki Igitol said.
She is inviting the community to join the series of events they are spearheading in observance of April as Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
“We would like to invite everybody to join the Walk to Advocate Against Sexual Violence and show your support for the cause every Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Micro Beach pavilion,” Igitol said.
They will also provide free health screening.
“The goal of the coalition is to encourage everyone in the CNMI to learn about sexual violence, how to help prevent sexual violence, and how to help survivors of sexual violence heal,” Igitol said.
The coalition works with the Family Violence Task Force.
