Tenorio, Covenant-Saipan, was still having a hard time walking when he arrived at his office yesterday. There was swelling in his left leg.
He said he was rushed to the private clinic earlier this week after his leg swelled and he could no longer stand.
He said the medicine he had been taking to lower his cholesterol was the culprit. It turned out he’s allergic to the medicine and it was too late when he learned about.
“The allergy was already too bad, it developed an infection and I was told I got it from the medicine,” Tenorio said.
The doctor, he added, advised him to “stay off his feet” to rest his leg.
Tenorio failed to attend this week’s sessions that tackled the fiscal year 2011 budget bill.
Vice Speaker Felicidad T. Ogumoro, Covenant-Saipan, was the acting speaker.
“I like it once in a while to give the vice speaker a chance to preside. When that happens, I try not to tell her what to do,” Tenorio said.
