A STORE in Gualo Rai and a poker arcade in Susupe were robbed on Tuesday night and yesterday morning.
The robbers managed to get $700 cash from Beijing Wholesale and an undetermined amount of money from BJ Happy Poker II, according to the police reports.
Acting Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Rose Ada said no one was reported hurt in the two incidents.
Ada said preliminary investigation showed that a four-door sedan was parked in front of Beijing Wholesale on Tuesday night. Two masked men, both armed with pistols, alighted from the vehicle and entered the store.
Ada said the suspects pointed the guns at the cashier, took $700 and left.
In the second robbery, Ada said two unidentified young men, with white cloth covering their faces, went inside BJ Happy Poker II at 4:02 a.m. yesterday.
The suspects demanded from the cashier the key to the door leading to the cashier’s booth.
The cashier said one suspect who threatened her with a stick got into the booth and took quarters and dollar bills. She said the second suspect served as the look-out.
After getting the money, the suspects fled on foot, Ada said.
Police are investigating the two incidents.
