KOROR (Palau Horizon) — The Ministry of Education will install six computers at Palau Public Library to provide students free Internet access.
The six computers are courtesy of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which provided the ministry with a $39,630 grant.
However, the computers cannot be installed pending the Palau National Communications Corp.’s connection of Internet access.
Education Minister Mario Katosang said PNCC had refused Internet access connection to get the project going.
The grant is for the installation of more computers in the library for the students’ use.
The grant includes computers, network accessory kits and printers.
