| A 24-year-old man was charged for allegedly conspiring with a minor in breaking into a house and stealing several items and money on Christmas Day. Hermany P. Santos was charged with burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and receiving stolen property. Assistant Attorney General Aaron J. Romano alleged that Santos conspired with a juvenile in burglarizing the home of Judith Inos Pangelinan on Dec. 25, 2000. Romano said the defendant stole a computer, a printer, a karaoke player, game cartridges, compact discs, an electronic game system, assorted electronics, jewelry and money. In other court news, the Attorney General’s Office filed nine counts of criminal charges against a convict who was arrested again for allegedly robbing a poker arcade last week. Jesse Joseph Quitugua Saralu, 22, was charged with two counts of assault and battery, theft, theft of vehicle, reckless driving, eluding a police officer, resisting arrest, assault with a dangerous weapon, and robbery. According to court documents, Saralu assaulted the cashier of Beach Poker/Mini Stop in Garapan and grabbed $224 from the register. The cashier reported the incident to the police, and the defendant was arrested last Monday. Last Feb. 14, Saralu pleaded guilty to theft and assault and battery in connection with the robbery at Hilltop Poker Room in Sadog Tasi last year. The trial court sentenced him to two years imprisonment, all suspended, except 30 days. |
