The preliminary round starts at 8 a.m. at the school, while the final round will be held on Jan. 7, also at TES.
The National Geographic Bee tests the students’ knowledge of geography.
Contestants will be required to give the names of different areas as well as the different physical and cultural features of various locations.
All students in the fourth to sixth grades are encouraged to participate.
The 2010 Bee is sponsored by Google and is now in its 22nd year.
