Rabby Syed, the association’s president, said immediately after they learned about the reported kidnapping of Faloma Luhk, 10, and her sister Maleina Luhk, 9, last week, they alerted their members to help gather information.
Yesterday, he said they posted flyers with pictures and information about the victims on their taxis.
The other day, one of the community volunteers approached one of the group’s members and gave them the leaflets about the missing girls, he said.
“I think this is an effective way because we carry these flyers as we move around the island and it will bring attention to the people,” Syed added.
There are 15 taxi units that are carrying the flyers of the two missing girls.
Syed said their group will also volunteer to transport people who want to join the search for the two missing girls.
