“We are not voters but we want to be of service to the democratic process by extending free service to the community,” he said.
Syed said they will give priority to senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
The taxi association, he said, will provide free rides from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to voters.
Their group will deploy two vans and those interested to avail of the service may call 285-3306.
Syed said they can use other vehicles depending upon the volume of requests from prospective passengers.
He said they will start getting reservations today.
The taxi business is “slow” nowadays, but this will not prevent the association from providing community service, he added.
“We are always willing to serve the community even on other special events,” he said.
