Teen on probation arrested for burglary, theft

Vince Peter Garrido is being held on charges of burglary and theft.

On Jan. 28, at about 11:26 p.m., police were dispatched to a residence in Tanapag.

The victim told police she was woken up at about 11 p.m. by her house worker who said there was a young male individual walking around the garage area.

After observing the individual, later identified as Garrido, the house worker said she saw the defendant trade his pair of slippers at the front door of the garage, and left his own slippers there, according to Detective Melissa Bauleong.

Garrido was also seen seated on the bed of the truck and leaning against the tailgate.

Garrido ran after the victim came out of her house yelling.

When the victim opened her truck, she saw her personal documents and other miscellaneous items scattered in the vehicle, police said.

She also saw the rear sliding window of her truck was open, police said.

On May 17, 2010, Presiding Judge Robert Naraja issued an adjudication order that placed Garrido on supervised probation under the direction and supervision of the Office of the Juvenile Probation of the Division of Youth Services.

Judge Kenneth L. Govendo retained the $5,000 cash bail earlier imposed on Garrido who was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections after the hearing.
