The new temporary water service is necessary to allow the water task force contractor RNV to connect six new wells and disinfection of the transmission main pipelines for the water supply into these areas.
As part of the WTF and CUC’s continuing effort to improve water service, customers in these areas are advised to expect intermittent service disruptions as the contractor continues well connections and disinfection tests of the main pipelines.
Customers along the high elevation areas of As Matuis homestead can expect reduced pressures during this testing period.
Once final connections and disinfection tests are completed, normal water service will be restored to all affected customers.
Residents are encouraged to practice strict water conservation and to teach children and household workers to save water, especially during this period.
Rainwater catchment systems/water tanks should be cleaned and float valves installed or replaced to ensure that water does not overflow from any tanks.
