ACTING Labor and Immigration Secretary Joaquin A. Tenorio says his department will assist DOLI’s resident office on Rota secure more federal funding.
Tenorio said he had written DOLI Rota Resident Director Thomas A. Manglona, informing him that he was “doing his best” in identifying existing federal funds that could be tapped by the Rota office.
Tenorio agreed with Manglona that the resident office on Rota needed more funding to be fully functional.
“I am trying to find funds. We will help out because they do need funds,” Tenorio said.
“I have already found some funds that can be transferred to their account,” he said. “Everything is being taken care of—we are addressing that issue,” he said.
Tenorio issued a memorandum on March 21, urging Manglona to seek assistance from the Rota Mayor’s Office.
Funding for all department resident offices are sourced from the Mayor’s Office.
