Theft incident at Navy Hill residence

At the scene, officers met with the caller who stated that an individual walked around the victim’s residence and climbed on the roof of the victim’s home to pick mangoes from a tree. The suspect then put the fruits in his vehicle before returning to the property and looking around the victim’s boat. The suspect then climbed onto the boat and removed a Penn International 120 electric reel and placed it in his vehicle before leaving with a female passenger.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a Black Mazda3 sedan.

DPS would like to remind the public to be diligent when purchasing fishing and/or boating equipment from unknown individuals, or online.
