Third Covid-19-related death on Guam

The patient was 81 years old with underlying health issues which were compounded by Covid-19. The patient had no recent travel history but initial investigations indicate the patient may have contracted Covid-19 from community contact.

The Department of Public Health and Social Services tested 41 individuals for Covid-19 on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 with conclusive results. Six tested positive and 35 tested negative for SARS-CoV-2. The DPHSS overall count also includes six positive cases that were tested by the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego.

To date, a total of 77 cases tested positive with nine patients who have recovered and three deaths.
