“The purpose of the Taga Arts Festival is to showcase the students’ skills as performers and artists. Both TES and TJSHS have student groups performing songs and dances and some are reciting poems,” said Martina Diaz, one of the event coordinators.
While all of the performances were held in the cafeteria, artworks was showcased in the library.
Most of the artwork on display are created by 12 students who were part of an after-school program conducted by Alaxandria Nabinger, an art teacher.
“I would like to thank the NMI Humanities Council who helped fund the program, as well as Merced Ada, Janet King and Julian Hofschneider for donating the space at the library for our program,” said Nabinger.
Many students are already looking forward to taking part in next year’s event.
