The Superior Court set a $50,000 bail for Ayuyu who was scheduled to appear for his initial appearance and bail hearing yesterday afternoon.
In her declaration of probable cause in support of issuance of an arrest warrant, Officer Joan A. Pangelinan of the Tinian DPS Juvenile Unit said she received a telephone call from a female caller who informed her that Ayuyu was having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
The victim told police she had sex twice with Ayuyu last month.
The victim’s sister told the police that she knew about her sister’s relationship with Ayuyu.
The victim told her sister “not to tell anybody because Ayuyu was a police officer,” Pangelinan stated in her affidavit.
On Jan. 5, 2010, the police interviewed the victim’s mother who said she has been receiving telephone calls from people who told her that her daughter was seeing Ayuyu.
