Formerly located in Chalan Kiya, Toothworks Dental Clinic officially opened its doors to the public on Friday on the second floor of the TSL Plaza in Garapan, directly above the USCIS office.
Guests toured the new clinic and got acquainted with the latest state of the art equipment for dental treatments including handheld x-ray machines with no stray radiation, electronic anesthesia, and the newest in intra-oral photography which takes photographs of your teeth and shows the photos on the computer monitor.
The results can be printed out and given to the patients.
The new Toothworks Dental Clinic has six cubicles with new, comfortable dental chairs. The glass windows in the cubicles give the clients a panoramic view of the sea.
Entering the spacious reception area is like stepping into a spa.
“We wanted our clients to shed their dental fear outside the building and let them experience total comfort in a dental clinic with a spa-like atmosphere,” Dr. Alan S. Markoff, president of Toothworks Dental Clinic, told the Variety.
“With over four decades of dental experience, you can be assured that you are in good hands with us,” Markoff said.
A new feature of the clinic is its wheelchair friendly cubicle.
Before, in Chalan Kya, staffers had to lift clients from the wheelchair but with the new facility, clients can be wheeled in directly into one of the cubicles.
The new facility is also child-friendly, with a huge, colorful mural on one wall and stuffed toys in the cubicles.
Toothworks Dental Clinic accepts all major dental insurance and continues to be a Medicaid provider.
The clinic is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays to Fridays, but somebody will be in the clinic on Mondays to take care of phone calls for appointments. For more information, call 234-3810/11/12 or fax 234-3820.
