Tourists lose $79K on Managaha

TWO tourists lost their bag containing money and several items worth $79,152 on Managaha Island.

According to Masahiro Ishii, he and his mother, Haruko Suzuki, went to Managaha at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Ishii said before he took a nap, he wrapped their personal belongings in a towel and placed them inside a Louis Vuitton bag behind a beach chair he was using.

Ishii said his mother went to a gift shop. At 3:10 p.m., his mother woke him up “and asked him where was the bag containing their belongings.”

Stolen from the tourists were two Louis Vuitton bags, Japanese yen and U.S. dollars, three Louis Vuitton wallets, a car key, a platinum necklace, a diamond pendant, a gold and diamond love ring, an 18K gold Rolex watch, 18K gold eyeglasses, a Channel watch, a diamond and platinum pierce and a diamond necklace.
