“[We] promise to provide a safe and pleasant experience to our tourists [and] we will propose [solutions] to the tourism industry on island about safety measures in order to enhance the tourism environment as well as maintain tourist infrastructure,” the JSTA said.
According to the group, its members want to help address the concerns and negative issues faced by tourists on island by bringing these to the attention of government agencies.
The JSTA said it will conduct beach cleanups, activities promoting traffic safety, programs to improve the ocean environment and resorts, while communicating with foreign groups to improve sales activities.
The group said it aims to provide tourists an enjoyable and memorable stay on island which will also help the government’s tourism campaign.
